We are already aware of the situation of animals in India and are not new to the fact that animals are treated atrociously. Almost every day, we hear cases that make us wonder if we are humans anymore.
Recently, there were a lot of cases of animal rapes in our country, for instance, a pregnant goat that went missing and was later found dead by the owner. The goat was stolen and abused by the accused at a deserted house, following which, it died. Also, cases of animals being brutally beaten to death and street dogs being malnourished are not new. It is a shame that in such a big country, animals face this kind of cruelty.
AVEKSHA is an upcoming app that aims to stop these issues by taking immediate solutions. It provides city-wise lists of animal rescue services along with their contact details, enabling citizens to reach out to their nearest rescue organization for a quick response whenever someone comes across a distressed animal. The 'Report an Abuse' feature enables users to access numbers of anti-animal cruelty organizations.
I believe, that the regular feeding drives carried out by Team Zoophilous will help to cut down the malnourishment among stray animals to some extent.
I am obliged to write this blog and am really looking forward to their app launch! It is amazing that some people have come forward to work in the aspect of animal welfare and are supporting animals as much as they can in every possible way. I hope they achieve what they have aimed for.
