A JOURNEY

Today, I'm going to talk about something very personal to me. My Technovation team and my journey. Technovation Girls '21 was more than just another competition in which I competed and worked hard; it was a journey. A bittersweet, at times tumultuous, but ultimately rewarding journey.

My teammates and I worked on this project for more than 6 months, always attempting to make our submission "out of the box." If you ask me what makes Team Zoophilous stand out, I'll tell you. It's because we don't give up easily. All this while, we created numerous drafts, stayed up till 2 am talking about color combinations and perfecting our alignments, agreed to disagree and had the best learning experience ever. We all espied aspects of our personalities that were hidden beneath the layers and went through a holistic personality development process.

Technovation taught me that practice does make a man perfect. One of the things that I learnt was that the first idea I had or the first draft I created wasn’t enough. I won’t lie, those creations seemed quite perfect to me at first, but little did I know that with a little polishing, they could become even more beautiful. And so, I polished them. I polished them numerous times and each time, I learnt something new. By the time we created the 30th draft of our logo, I realized why the first draft was rejected.

Working for the welfare of animals has brought a great deal of happiness and satisfaction to us and we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. Unfortunately, Aveksha didn’t qualify for the semi-finals, but we’re not going to give up. We discovered a lot of loopholes along the way and have concrete plans for filling them, which is why we want to grow bigger and better. Stay tuned to our Instagram page for the upcoming updates!
