THE CHIRPS GONE BY...

This is a poem about our morning tea companions, the Sparrows, who are vanishing slowly...
We stepped out from those small villages into towns with urbanization full on,
We let many of our unique, yet beautiful relations forgone.
Today, life in this concrete jungle feels incomplete,
We keep on missing the chirps of sparrows with our morning tea,
But why did our morning tea companions leave us?
They came and struggled for their survival while urbanization was going at a rapid pace,
They fought for some space,
Until they decided to take their last flight to a faraway place.
Far away from their companion who never thought of them and instead, tried to trap them in these polluted cities.
Reuniting with our dear ones is always jovial, nostalgic and priceless,
When we go somewhere close to mother nature our soul feels elated and full of brightness.
This is all because of the small, beautiful creatures which god gifted us,
The ones whose hearts we have rendered lifeless.
So, as the youth of the country,
Let us not be ignorant and join hands to protect the voiceless.
