“Anybody who doesn’t know what soap tastes like never washed a dog.” —Franklin P. Jones

As a father of two dogs, sometimes it gets chaotic and frustrating but when I see their tail wagging my mood cherishes. I was sad when I lost Tuffy. I was too young to experience grief in my life. It was the saddest day of my life but the day Bless came, everything changed. I adapted easily with Bless and I felt lively again. The second happiest day of my life was when Bruno came into it. Of course, Bless was a bit jealous of him but he adjusted knowing that he has to act as a superior authority.

It's difficult to tackle two dogs, especially when one of them is a pup. Sometimes I get angry and try to scold them but their cute faces make my anger go away. Their daily grooming, brushing and combing is a bit exhausting. But it's a necessity.

Grooming your pet regularly comes with many health benefits. Grooming not only makes them look good, but it also makes them feel good while enhancing their quality of life. It helps in getting rid of itchiness and bacteria as well.

Grooming should be done about once a month. Although it depends mostly on the breed, hair length, and type of coat, of your pet. For young puppies like Bruno, and dogs who have never been groomed, more frequent grooming or brushing at home should be done to get the dog used to being handled and to avoid grooming issues transitioning into adulthood.

A dog should be bathed once or twice a week. Bathing helps in cleansing their fur coat. It can reduce inflammation and skin infections. Also, it can be enjoyable and therapeutic for your pet. Remember, over bathing your dog can dry out their skin and cause itching and flaking. Over bathing your dog depletes the natural oils which will not only contribute to dry skin but will also reduce the lustre of your dog's natural coat.

It's a hodgepodge during the bath time of BnB. We usually bathe them in the first floor balcony. Bruno comes up easily but Bless - it's a real task. Only I know how I carry him in my arms to the balcony. Both of them are a wholesome mess and as you know “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”.
